What is breast implant illness?

It's inevitable

Breast Implant Illness

Breast Implant Illness (BII) is a term used by women who have breast implants and who self identify and describe a variety of symptoms including (but not limited to) fatigue, chest pain, hair loss, headaches, chills, photosensitivity, chronic pain, rash, body odor, anxiety, brain fog, sleep disturbance, depression, neurological issues and hormonal issues that they feel are directly connected to their saline or silicone, textured or smooth breast implants.

Unfortunately, the immune system is affected by any foreign material in the body, including the 40+ known toxins inside breast implants, not to mention, dental tooth fillings. Imagine how these breast implant chemical toxins are handled by the body every single day at a temperature of 98.6°F, nevermind, adding saunas and jacuzzis. Then imagine adding up all the daily toxins and chemicals our body is trying to fight off 24/7 from all the toxins going into us from our outside environment. Your poor overworked liver can only handle so many toxins at a time before it becomes overwhelmed.

Once the liver becomes sluggish from fighting off toxins all day long, the body begins to slow down in it’s efforts to battle toxins or absorb nutrients. Detrimentally, we become nutrient deficient and begin to show signs of all sorts of auto-immune diseases and bodily symptoms. Check out all the auto-immune diseases associated with BII here.

The recent increase in patients reporting Breast Implant Illness (BII) symptoms appears to be related to social media. Thank goodness for the internet and power of knowledge. This is not to say that social media is the cause of Breast Implant Illness (BII), however, it may account for the rapid increases in patient reporting. There is much debate about breast implant illness between the FDA, implant manufacturers, surgeons, doctors, and the breast implant illness sufferers. In fact, during the March 2019 FDA public meeting on reviewing breast implant concerns, it was revealed that over 350,000 reports of problems with breast implants from the last decade have been hidden from the public in the FDA’s Alternative Summary Reporting (ASR); where the breast implant manufacturers combined thousands of breast implant reports of malfunctions, problems, and injuries into single summaries instead of having numerous individual reports. Finally, in late March 2019, the FDA officially added ‘Systemic Symptoms (Breast Implant Illness (BII))‘ to their Risks of Breast Implants. As women with symptoms that want answers, we must create awareness for others that seek truth and educate them as best we can. It is up to us to force the truth out of these huge corporations that control what goes into our bodies. We must stand together as one and not back down until these breast implants are no longer produced and on the market!
